Las Vegas, Nevada (July 29, 2008) – VegasHD, the premier provider of digital television production in Las Vegas, today announced it has entered into a long-term strategic partnership with Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino to install and maintain a “plug and play” digital broadcast fiber facility and 4,000 sq. ft. permanent insert stage, studio and control room at the famed Las Vegas casino resort.

With regular Hollywood movie premieres, A-list entertainment and celebrity events, Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino now offers its television partners the opportunity for “plug and play” production at various locations throughout the resort, including the pool deck, casino floor, the Mezzanine Theatre and the 2,450 sq. ft. Strip-side patio at Trader Vic’s. This connectivity is currently unparalleled anywhere in Las Vegas, and is the result of the recent installation of a permanent OC12 digital fiber line. This digital fiber connection provides VegasHD with the bandwidth capacity that normally would be yielded through the use of six satellite trucks.

In addition, the in-house insert stage allows for live talk-back interviews, press junkets, and studio shoots. The VegasHD Studio is located on the mezzanine level of the resort and opens onto an additional 20,000 sq. ft. space overlooking the Planet Hollywood casino floor, allowing for larger in-studio style television productions with set pieces, studio audiences and multiple cameras.
