City Seeks Public Comments for Park Master Plan

North Las Vegas, Nevada - North Las Vegas officials are seeking citizen
comments on the master plan of a new 20-acre neighborhood park at the southeast
corner of Tropical Parkway and Bruce Street. They also want suggestions from the
public on naming the project.
A public meeting where residents can submit
their comments and ideas will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18, at
Johnston Middle School, 5855 Lawrence Street.
For residents who are
unable to attend the meeting, park naming suggestions will be taken until Oct.
31, on the City web site at www.cityofnorthlasvegas.com . Citizens seeking to make their
suggestions online can go to the Parks & Recreation web page from the home
page to obtain naming and comment forms, and click on the Tropical Bruce Park
Preliminary Master Plan link to see a detailed rendering of the
park.
Park naming suggestions also can be mailed to Landscape Architect
John Jones, City of North Las Vegas Parks and Recreation, 1638 N. Bruce Street,
North Las Vegas, NV 89030.
Comments on the master plan will be accepted
on the City web site through Oct. 1.
