Untold Stories lecture series uncovers the rise and fall of Las Vegas' mythic Mob rule
Everyone thinks they know the story of the days when the Mob ran Las Vegas. On Thursday, Sept. 4 at 7 p.m. , the Untold Stories lecture series presents the reality behind those near-mythical stories with "The Mob in Las Vegas." This lecture takes a look at not only the Mob's influence on and involvement in Las Vegas, but also how that Mob was brought down by a dedicated group of men and women.
Special guests and panelists include former FBI agent Dennis Arnoldy, historian Brian Paco Alvarez, Don Payne, longtime head of the Las Vegas News Bureau, and Dr. Michael Green, history professor at the College of Southern Nevada. Admission is $12 or $10 for members
