Clark County Parks and Recreation’s World Vibration concert series continues with The Heartbeat of Brazil by Mocidade Relbelde at 2 p.m. Feb. 10, at Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive. Admission is $10 for adults, $7 for children and seniors.
Mocidade Relbelde is the Brazilian percussion ensemble from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and is directed by Kurt Rasmussen, a member of the band from Cirque du Soleil’s “O.” The Heartbeat of Brazil concert will feature the cuica, berimbau, zabumba and other exotic percussion instruments. Enhanced by the group’s samba dancers, the lively concert encourages audience participation, from dancing in the aisles to trying a Brazilian drumming style on stage.
KUNV 91.5 FM radio announcer Kay Tuma hosts the World Vibration concert series, which has entertained audiences with various styles of multicultural music for two years. The series continues in March with music from Ireland by Celtic Travelers.
