Driver meeting: Saturday, Nov. 29, at 7:45 a.m.
Entry fee: $1,000 (cash or money order only -- entry fee due at time of sign-up).
Qualifying run: Saturday, Nov. 29, at 8 a.m.
Eliminations: 15 minutes after qualifying session.
In an effort to ensure better track conditions, the Ultimate Gambler will run between rounds of
Saturday's Run-for-the-Money events and first rounds for Sportsman and Pro Brackets.  The Ultimate Gambler will be completed prior to Saturday's first round of Super Pro eliminations.  The Ultimate Gambler will be run on a 1/8-mile track, with 15 minute turn-around between runs.  A pro ladder will be used for eliminations based on a reaction-time qualifying run.  No "splits" prior to the quarter-finals (final 8).  All splits must be approved by Chris Blair prior to the next round of competition.  All participants must agree and sign off on the split. Only the driver can agree to a split (no crewmembers or family members).

Basic competition information and procedures:

Listen to the announcers on 103.9 FM.

All Thursday, Friday and Sunday races will be contested on the ¼ mile.  All Saturday races will be contested as 1/8 mile.  Should weather or other unforeseen circumstances affect racing conditions, the director reserves the right to adjust all races to 1/8 mile.

Driver must have dial-in properly displayed on left side of car prior to reaching the ready-line behind the tower. Any car not having its dial-in displayed will receive the same dial-in as the previous round. If it is the first round, we will make one up for you.  No changes permitted to dial-in after the ready line unless approved by the event director (in the event of an oil-down or other unforeseen circumstances).

Racers are permitted to buy-back once in eliminations (either first or second round).  Cars who buy back are automatically placed back into the elimination rounds.  We do not separate buy-backs from winners.   Please be advised of this policy - it has been this way since 2001.  Buy-back policy may be adjusted due to time constraints, car counts, etc.

All lane choices will be determined by the flip of a coin.

Eliminations will be random pairings.  Provisional bye for first round will go to the winner of the Run-for-the-Money.  All other provisional bye runs will go to the best reaction time on a winning run from the previous round.  Provisional bye does not carry over.  The winner of the provisional bye does not get lane choice if he does have to run with someone -- it still goes to flip of a coin.

All classes will receive a first call, a second call and a final call to staging.  We are not responsible for someone missing the call to the lanes.  The class ends when the provisional bye winner reaches the ready-line for either his single or paired run.  Don't come to the lanes at the last minute and expect to race.
Once a pair has been made at the ready line the race is set. Any delays, breakages, etc. past the ready-line will result in disqualification.

Participants will have approximately 35 seconds from the start of burn-out to stage the car. In an effort to save time, burnouts past the 60 foot mark will not be permitted.  Auto-start will be used.  If you plan on staging deep, don't write it on your window and expect us to wait for you - just get into the beams.  We do not enforce "courtesy staging" for this event - again, just get in the beams.

Left lane receives the right-of-way in exiting the track.

In the late rounds of eliminations, all classes will be on a 10-min. turn-around.  It is November, so there shouldn't be an issue with cool-down time.
Please listen to the public address system on 103.9 FM.  We don't want you to miss a round.

We have put implemented fairly simple rules for this event in an effort to have a good time.  We want to keep things simple, follow the same program we've used for a long time and close out the year on a high note.  For that reason, we ask that you focus on having a good time.  If a driver has a concern or a complaint, the driver needs to be the one to come to the tower.  Do not send your family or crew to act as your spokesperson.  We will only address issues with the driver.

Read this sheet and listen to the public address system on 103.9 FM.

LVMS will provide a space for racers participating in either the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event (November 7-9) or Street Car Super Nationals (November 21-23) to leave their rigs until the start of the Bracket Nationals.  We understand that fuel prices are greatly affecting everyone's racing plans and want to work with our participants to keep them racing at all Strip events
