The Australian Pink Floyd Show, also known as TAPFS, is a tribute band of Pink Floyd, which formed in 1988 in Adelaide, South Australia. They are considered by many to play shows that closely duplicate actual Pink Floyd concerts; TAPFS has become so popular that they have through the years performed for international arena tours. TAPFS not only includes music originally written by Pink Floyd, but also a psychedelic lightshow modeled after the lightshows used by the original band during their 1987 and 1994 world tours. The show employs much of its own imagery based on Pink Floyd, but altered to include the band’s own trademark pink kangaroo, which appears on many of its merchandise.
