What is RSS? The short answer is "Real Simple Syndication" - basically a way for us to tell special readers called aggregators about the articles which we post on our site. This includes not only the headlines, but summaries and some special techie codes as well. |
| What is the benefit to me? Well...if you're utilizing a news reader / aggregator- it allows your software to automatically visit our site, download the summary information of the latest articles automatically, as often as you instruct it too during the day! That's right - you can automatically check our site once ever 5 minutes for news - that said, we would highly recommend that you don't visit us - or - any other site more than once an hour. |
Where do I get a News Reader? There are many different readers for many different platforms - check your installed browser for RSS / or XML support. If you don't already have one - or your browser doesn't support it - go to your favorite search engine - and input RSS Reader.
Conversely - if you don't mind using a great product that is free - AND - is the same RSS reader that we use here at Kensei Consulting to keep up on thousands of RSS subscriptions per day. Well - download FeedDemon for Windows - or NetNewsWire for Mac from NewsGator here They even have a reader for Mobile, a reader for Microsoft Outlook AND an online reader. Cant Say much about those last three - but if they are anything like FeedDemon - they are top notch AOK ;-) Again - that is Newsgator |
| Now what? You must "subscribe" to the "feed" or "feeds" you wish to view. This basically tells your software - check this category or categories ONLY. Below you will find the feed for the site, categories and subcategories which will allow you to customize your news! Depending upon your reader - simply select feed you wish to subscribe to - copy it's link to your reader - and your done! |
Available RSS Feeds: To add the feed to your Yahoo! select the appropriate icon - all others choose the feed name.
