Far left MSNBC talking head Keith Olbermann, this evening had the audacity to call a rally on the steps of the Capital – “the closet thing yet to a GOP white power rally.”
Pardon me Mr. Olbermann – but where to come off comparing the political rally on the steps of our Capitol building on Thursday (11.06.09) to a Neo-Nazi organization and rally?
Do these people raise your hackles because they do not agree with you? That they are not part of the side that you reside? Do you really believe that that the what…Four? Five? Six? Whatever…thousand people who attended this rally are somehow racial motivated against this legislation? Against people of color, people of non-Christian, non-Roman Catholic religions? Against the very governmental system that these here United States of America are founded on? That they are un-American somehow? Anti-United States of America somehow?
Does this kind of disgusting, derogatory name calling somehow make you feel better? Let me give you a clue about this my misguided friend…their opinion is no less valid than your own – and is just as protected by the first amendment. With one huge exception — where as you, by the grace of God are paid handsomely to spread your words of hate – the people on those stairs where not paid to express their deeply held feelings about a piece of legislation that they simply do not agree with!
Are you upset because one group showed up with a a sign expressing their opinion that this health care legislation was comparable to the holocaust? Didn’t at least ONE Democratic Congressman express the very same opinion in a speech on the floor about what is happening NOW in America? Didn’t that very same Democrat accuse the Republican Plan of being - “Die Quickly” ?
Keith – even the New York Times has figured out it is disgraceful, disrespectful and downright dishonest to categorize an entire rally – but the protest sign that one of them carries! When are YOU going to see truth in that decision?
Are you upset because another group showed up protesting the SINGLE fact that in their opinion – and in the opinion of many others – Republican AND Democrats – that this bill allows for the paying for abortions with government money?
Or was it actor John Voight, not in lock step with the majority of the Hollywood elite daring to stand up and accuse the Obama administration of “lies and propaganda?” Much like you did / do every night but in accusing the Bush administration, or Rachel Maddow with her panties in a knot every night about the Bush administration or Rosie O’Donnel accusing the Bush administration of orchestrating the 9/11 attacks, or every other actor who suddenly thinks fame equates to infallible intelligence!
OH – I know – your just upset that the center, center right now has deep pocket sponsors of their own! Sure, the left and far left had good old George Soros backing MoveOn, and didn’t he try to bail out that far left radio station that no one listened to – oh yeah – the very mis-named, Air America? And exactly what was it Keith – that prevented then senator Obama, then senator Clinton, Chris Dodd, Harry Reid and some 24 other Democrats in the Senate from condemning MoveOn.org and their attack on General Petraus?
Or do you remember when your poster backer received over $25 million U.S. TaxPayer dollars to operate needle exchange programs and “outreach” to prostitutes in other countries – when our Congress since 1989 had restricted the use of federal funds for those very purposes…or when he was busted for insider trading…or when he…ah…misled the public about those convictions
OK – I’ll stop raging on George for now Keith – but tell me – just WHAT is it with YOU – that you can overlook ALL of that and not say a word – but you fend outrage and call law abiding, American Citizens who express their constitutional protected opinion on the Capital steps – the equivalent of a White Power group?
Boy, have you got some growing up to do. As I have said before, you really should focus on the issues – as they truthfully are – and stop worrying about the Fox Network crushing MSNBC in the ratings…look at the latest quarterly figures as reported in the Huffington Post…

And no amount of your spin on how since “Fox News” is not a legitimate News Station per the Obama Whitehouse – that MSNBC miraculously is number one in news! In your dreams ex-sportscaster – in your dreams! If by some quirk of fate YOU or Maddow can be considered News…then the folks on Fox News definitely qualify times 10!
Man-up buddy – you too Maddow - by all means defend your position – put up charts, graphs, use pictures and hand pupets for all I care – but if you are really truing to be a legitimate political news source – let’s cut out the name calling and other kindergarten double entendre, outright nasty remarks, and outrageous remarks and claims. That may of worked when you were covering baseball – but today we Americans need someone we can trust in the 4th estate – not someone who reminds us of a 5 year old.
So Keith – and yes – you too Maddow, stop the smart aleck pouting, pick up your toys and crayons and put them back on the shelf. And remember – your God gave you the public voice and influence that you have right now…let’s use our inside voice, and that position to spread the truth – as it really is.
