Las Vegas, NV – State GOP Chairman Tarkanian released the following statement after it was reported that President Barack Obama will block Keystone XL energy pipeline and the thousands of American jobs that will come along with it:
“President Obama tries to act like he is working hard to fix the economy, but today’s decision is more evidence that he doesn’t have the same priorities as the people of Nevada. At a time when the economy desperately needs to be creating jobs, sacrificing 20,000 American jobs for purely political motives is reckless,” said Tarkanian.
“As if voters across this country didn’t need another reason to say no to President Obama this year, today’s decision underscores the dire need to make Barack Obama a one-term president. For the sake of Nevada and our nation, we cannot afford another four more years of President Obama, who is more fond of putting special interests ahead of getting our economy back on track,” continued Chairman Tarkanian.
