It seems as though Samsung may have something up their sleeves as it gets ready to introduce the next phase of their flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S7, in February at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. And with that in mind, rumors on their pride and joy are definitely going to roll in.
Since Samsung rolled out the customized Android version 6.0 operating system, or more known to everyone as Android Marshmallow, the company made a number of new changes to their Galaxy phones, according to the Inquisitr.
Aside from the customized OS, Samsung also introduced their remarkable Edge counterparts that made them a cut above the rest. Thus, it is not surprising that few rumors are circulating around Samsung.
Previous reports from South Korea’s ET News pointed out that the next Galaxy S7 will include a flat 5.2-inch screen, with the Edge counterpart will show a 5.5-inch curved display. The rumored Samsung smartphone, under a project name called “HERO,” is reported to be mass-produced also starting in February, the same time as it is supposed release date.
Meanwhile, a leaked photo from The Verge was released indicating a very different feature compared from the previous ones. Based on the photo, we can expect a larger S7 model with a 5.7-inch display. Apart from the display feature, specifications for the rumored Galaxy S7 include a 12.2-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. It’s also rumored to have 4GM of RAM powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chip.
It will be a short while before we see the final details of the next Galaxy smartphone so expect some details to be revealed before the release date.
