The Nevada Palace sign will be taken down and donated to the Neon Museum on Monday, March 3. The sign will join many other famous marquees that have made the Neon Museum their final resting place.
“We are proud that Nevada Palace will live on in the Neon Museum,” said Bill Wortman, co-founder and co-principal of Cannery Casino Resorts, LLC. “We look forward to putting up the new Eastside Cannery Casino & Hotel sign in its place.”
“It is going to be wonderful for people to see a sign that is so representative of Nevada,” said Nancy Deaner, chairman of the board for the Neon Museum. “We are so excited that Nevada Palace chose to donate their sign to the Neon Museum.”
The Neon Museum’s mission is to collect, preserve, study and exhibit neon signs and associated artifacts to inspire educational and cultural enrichment for diverse members of our international community. Their collection ranges from the 1940s to present day.
