Dee Snider announces his concert experience, Van Helsing?s Curse, which will be performed on October 20th and 21st inside The Joint
Las Vegas ? September 20, 2006 ? Well known for being the lead singer of Twisted Sister, Dee Snider arrived at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino via coffin(!) to announce the addition of his show (Van Helsing?s Curse) to the amazing line up of October and Halloween activities planned for the hip hotel.
At the start of the press conference, a hearse pulled into the valet area of the hotel where six druids in ghoulish makeup and costumes carried the coffin (with Snider) inside, out of the hearse, through the Casino and into The Joint, where Snider exited the coffin, greeted media and hotel employees, and let everyone know how the Hard Rock was stepping it up a notch for the month of October.
In addition to terrific food and drink specials, the month of October will feature special memorabilia cases dedicated to the likes of horror-movie greats such as Pinhead, cocktail waitresses will be costumed during the entire month and on October 20th and 21st, the hotel, along with Snider, will present Van Helsing?s Curse ? a concert experience unlike any other.
Van Helsing?s Curse features an amazing 18-piece gothic rock-orchestra that performs alongside Snider who narrates a chilling story as the band performs remarkable versions of classic horror film and ominous songs with original melodies mixed in throughout. Van Helsing?s curse is a true concert experience that will set the tone for the Halloween season.
In addition to the show, Snider promised a gothic wedding ceremony on the night of the 21st in which he and his wife Suzette will renew their vows as they celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. Rumors are already swirling as people have begun to talk about who could possibly officiate the ceremony. The one thing we do know is that the bride will indeed be wearing black.
