Las Vegas ? September 30, 2006- The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino presents Thrice at the Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on Friday, October 13th at 8:00 p.m.
?Liberation and personal revelation have always kept Thrice thriving.? Forming in 1998, Thrice comprised of Dustin Kensure (guitarist/vocalist), Teppei Ternanishi (guitarist), Eddie Breckenridge (bassist), and Riley Breckenridge (drummer), issued their self released debut album Identity Crises LP in 2000. The album caught the attention of Hopeless/Sub City Louis Posen who signed the band in 2001. Reissuing Identity the same year, Thrice made their official label debut with Illusion of Safety in early 2002.
The band went on to sign with Island in June 2002 and spent most of the next year doing stints on the Warped Tour and touring clubs with Hot Water Music and Coheed & Cambria. The Artist in the Ambulance appeared in August 2003, while Vheissu was issued in October 2005.
Aiming to make something different, Thrice describes the album as ?alternately rooted in mystical and atmospheric textures and arrangements that refuse to draw distinctions between loud and soft, Vheissu is the kind of album that is unexpected, unprecedented and undeniable.?
Since signing with Hopeless/Sub City, Thrice has been committed to supporting non-profits with portions of their album sales going to charities like the Syrentha J. Salvo Endowment and 826 Valencia.
The Joint is the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino?s acclaimed live concert venue and has played host to countless performances, including The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Santana, Billy Joel, Ringo Starr, Lenny Kravitz and Green Day, just to name a few. Since opening in 1995, The Joint has played an essential role in live shows in Las Vegas. Accommodating up to 2,000 guests, The Joint?s intimacy is unrivaled in staging unforgettable concerts and events.
