Introducing Craftsmanship and
Techrave, expanding the Denim by Diesel line
Herzogenaurach, April 08th, 2008 – The adidas
Originals fall/winter 2008 season continues to celebrate originality and stays
true to its characteristics: a collection featuring authentic and creatively
unique themes for the lifestyle market. The line reflects how the Trefoil’s
essence inspires individuality while embodying the spirit of adidas’ past and
present. Introducing two new themes, Craftsmanship
and Techrave, the collection at the same
time represents a further development of successful concepts such as adidas Grün, Tournament and Respect M.E. Moreover, the landmark
collaboration with the Italian lifestyle brand Diesel is entering its next
round, presenting an Originals Denim by
Diesel line with ten styles to complete the offer of a holistic streetwear
outfit.
The two new product
themes Craftsmanship and Techrave will be exclusively available
in adidas Originals stores worldwide. Both categories offer men’s and women’s
styles combining footwear, apparel and accessories. Creating high-quality and
functional sporting goods has always been the distinguishing feature of adidas.
The brand owns a significant craftsmanship heritage which is highlighted in this
credible range that combines typical adidas quality and materials with creative
and luxurious street fashion. One of the men’s highlight pieces is the ZX700
Boat, a creative street reinterpretation of the ‘80s running shoe series ZX. Women
will love the stylish, court-influenced purple Archive Cord Dress that features
wintery craftsmanship materials like corduroy and tartan detailing.
The name of
the second own-store exclusive theme Techrave
says it all. The colorful collection inspired by the ‘90s rave spirit brings
back authentic silhouettes while mixing them with a techy touch through
metallic material combinations and cool neon pop colors.
Successfully launched
in spring/summer with two men’s and women’s styles in four different washes,
the Originals Denim by Diesel fall/winter
2008 collection – developed in conjunction with the Diesel Creative Team headed
by Creative Director Wilbert Das - offers a broader product palette consisting
of 10 different jeans looks. The women’s range moves on with the cool adi-matic
straight-cut style in super black supplemented by a second washing: stone grey.
Additional jeans include the slight boot-cut adi-ryoth and the straight-cut,
high-waist adi-brucke. The men’s range extends to six pair of jeans including
the already known and loved models adi-viker and adi-thanaz accompanied by further
washings and cuts presented in the adi-larkee and adi-heeven straight-leg jeans.
Created in
response to the world’s increasing awareness of the importance of sustainability
and growing environmental consciousness, adidas
Grün approaches its second season. A clear labeling system denotes the two
different categories where everything from the product to the packaging is
designed to have minimum impact on the environment: Reground and Recycled. Consumers
can easily understand the environmental sensibility behind each adidas Grün footwear
and apparel product that offer a thoughtful addition to any wardrobe. The main criteria
for adidas Grün products are the use of recycled materials and environmentally
friendly natural fabrics.
The
fall/winter 08 collection will hit retail in June in Originals Stores, at selected
retailers and in special Sport Performance Stores all over the world. Alongside
the highlight concepts, other foundation pillars of the adidas Originals line
such as Sleek, Tournament and Classic Clean continue to be offered.
Prices range
from 75 to 140 Euros for footwear and from 15 to 220 Euros for apparel. The Originals
Denim by Diesel jeans retail from 160 Euros to 240 Euros.
