First Time Las Vegas Visitor Wins $233,422 Wheel of Fortune Megajackpot

(Las Vegas) – Visiting Las Vegas for the first time, Shane M. Nelson scored big
when he hit a $233,422 Wheel of Fortune® quarter MegaJackpot® at the Luxor on
Wednesday, February 20.
The LaCrosse, Wis. resident was in town for a
convention with his boss and co-workers. Nelson stated that he had been hopping
from one machine to the next, when he happened to choose the winning one. The
visitor had only been in the city for a few hours when the win hit. He invested
just $20 in the machine.
“It took a moment to set in,” said the excited
winner. "When I looked at the symbols and then at the machine, I said to myself
‘I did hit it!’”
Nelson, who currently works for a surfacing company,
says he plans to purchase a car and new home with the winnings. He added, “This
is my first time visiting Las Vegas, but I will return!”
