The largest poker room in the city offers a satellite tournament with an elite jackpot

LAS VEGAS- (January 15, 2008) - A seat with the world's top poker players is up for grabs in a NBC Heads-Up Satellite Tournament in the Caesars Palace Poker Room.  The winner will join a 'who's who' from the poker world in the NBC Heads-Up Poker Championship event taking place February 28-March 2.  The satellite tournament kicks off at 2pm on February 17, with a $500 buy-in plus $40 entry fee. Daily single table satellites begin February 1 at 9am.

The National Heads-Up Poker Championship features 64 of the world's best poker players competing in a series of heads-up (one-on-one games of Texas Hold'em) matches to determine who is the best face-to-face poker player in the world. The tournament has a unique, single-elimination, bracket-style format modeled after college basketball tournaments. The tournament will be taped for broadcast on NBC and CNBC.

The Caesars Palace Poker Room features 29 live tables, offering a selection of the most popular games including Texas Hold'em, Seven-Card Stud and Omaha. With over 14,000 square feet, including a 6,000 square foot tournament area and 33 tournament tables, it is the largest poker room on the Strip. More than 20 large-screen high-definition TV sets ornament the walls, along with original Leroy Neiman artwork and Neil Leifer photographs.  An extensive menu and dedicated cocktail service allow players to have food and beverage delivered directly to the tables during play.  Players can also receive tableside massages as an added luxury.
