Each monthly tournament will award $2,000 in prize money
LAS VEGAS – August 8, 2008 – Jerry’s Nugget, a locals’ favorite casino for more than 40 years, will host a series of blackjack tournaments on the first Tuesday of each month starting in September and running through December 2008.
Members of The More Club who wish to try their luck at blackjack will have the opportunity to win great cash prizes. The first place winner will receive $1,000 and the second place winner will receive $500. The third and fourth place prizes are $300 and $100, respectively. The entrants who come in fifth and sixth will receive $50 each. Tournament spaces are limited and will be on a first come, first serve basis. All entrants must be More Club members and at least 21 years of age.
“At Jerry’s Nugget, we strive to always offer new and exciting opportunities for our More Club members,” said Peter DeMangus, general manager at Jerry’s Nugget. “This series of tournaments offers a low cost entry fee and guaranteed cash prizes.”
Check-in at the pit for each tournament will start at 6:30 p.m. and the first round will start promptly at 7:00 p.m. Customers interested in participating in these tournaments can register at The More Club for an entry fee of $15.00 per tournament. Registration will close at noon on each Friday before the tournament date. Those dates are August 29, October 3, October 31 and November 28, 2008.
