John Wayne Airport (JWA) anticipates a busier-than-normal travel period from July 1 – July 7 during the Fourth of July holiday. Passengers should plan to arrive at least two (2) hours prior to their flight departure time in order to check in, go through the security screening process and get to their gate. In addition, parking lots often become full during peak travel periods – JWA offers four terminal parking structures at a daily rate of $17, valet parking at $30/day, as well as the off-site Main Street Parking Lot at 1512 Main St. in Irvine, for $12/day and provides free shuttle service to and from the Terminal about every 15 minutes. Passengers can also call to check parking availability or get other Airport information at 949.252-5200
As a reminder, TSA limits the carrying of liquids, gels and aerosols through security screening at 3 oz. each, all that must be contained in one, quart-size, clear zip-top baggie.Other liquid items should be packed in checked luggage. Don’t forget, fireworks are prohibited and should be left at home.
