Untold Stories continues with a look at Las Vegas' role during World War II
WHAT: Over There! Las Vegas and World War II: In honor of Veteran's Day, Untold Stories salutes the Veterans of World War II. When we think of World War II and Las Vegas, we usually think of the soldiers who trained at the Gunnery School, the men and women who worked at Basic Magnesium. But just as important, were the men and women who answered the call to fight on the front lines and risked their lives for all of us. Join us for this special salute. $12 non-members, $10 members, $6.50 children 5-17.
This monthly series helps explore our history and helps us understand the sacrifices and courage it took to build a city out of the desert. Each month we will bring together a group of long-time residents to talk about our history in a roundtable forum.
