LAS VEGAS – May 1, 2008 – Best of Bands.com registered artist, The Underground Rebels, won the Live Indie Rock Wars competition at Lake Las Vegas. Through winning the competition, The Underground Rebels received a two-year $50,000 recording, promotional and management contract including $25,000 worth of studio recording time from Black Mountain Records as well as a media package from Coast to Coast Public Relations and Vegas Rocks Magazine.
“We had a great time attending and playing Live Indie Rock Wars, and thought is was a top-notch event run by a professional crew and organization,” said Kurt Frohlich, lead vocalist and guitarist for The Underground Rebels. “We really hope winning the $50,000 prize of a management contract and promotional support gets us out to the masses with our songs and live performances.”
Originally open to thousands of bands throughout North America, Live Indie Rock Wars allowed the finest, unsigned rock musicians to compete for a chance to appear live in front of more than 500,000 fans worldwide, and become well-known globally. Out of the top 20 bands selected to perform onstage for the semi-final competition, eight bands – A.D.D., Highwire Fiction, Left Standing, Local Stranger, Mindefect, Psychostasia, Session 9 and The Underground Rebels – are registered artists with Best of Bands.
