In the summer of 2006, Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood formed the band Lady Antebellum. Since the new group debuted, they’ve earned Top New Group at the 2008 Academy of Country Music Awards (ACM) and have continued to blow country music fans away with their one-of-a-kind vocal chemistry. Their hit single, “Love Don’t Live Here” debuted on the Top 5 Hot Country Songs on the Billboard Charts.

Former member of Trick Pony and winner of an ACM Best New Artist Award, now solo-artist Heidi Newfield brings her explosive voice and rambunctious stage antics to the country music scene. In 2008, Newfield debuted her solo album, “What Am I Waiting For?” and for twelve weeks her hit single, “Johnny & June” reached the Top 15 on the Billboard Hot Country Charts.

Joined together from CMT Canada’s “Making the Band” reality show, Clayton Bellemy, Chris Byrne and Corbett Frasz formed The Road Hammers and found quick success with fans combining soulful country with edgy rock ‘n roll. The band's self-titled debut album ascended to the upper reaches of the Canadian country charts, with four songs "East Bound and Down," "Nashville Bound," "Girl On the Billboard" and "I'm a Road Hammer" hitting the Top 10.

Since 1989, Mark Chesnutt has been doing what he loves best – “…to sing country music for true blue country fans.” One of Billboards Ten Most-Played Radio Artists of the ‘90s, Chesnutt lives for performing on stage to his fans and creating music with hits like “Bubba Shot the Jukebox” and “I Don’t Want to Miss A Thing.” He has been on tour since 1990 and brings his country hits alive with his stage presence.

The Downtown Hoedown starts kickin’ at 6 pm on Wednesday, December 3. All are invited to mosey on downtown and enjoy the feel-good sounds of country music among the iconic neon lights of the Fremont Street Experience. All concerts are free and open to the public and parking is available at the Fremont Street Experience parking garage located on the corner of Carson and 4th Streets.
