LAS
VEGAS – July 29, 2009
– The fourth annual
“24-Hour Talk Show” Radiothon and cocktail party benefitting The Caring Place
surpassed its goal, raising more than $250,000. The success of the event is
thanks in large part to Dana White and the UFC organization and fighters.
Bidding for amazing UFC packages is still available at www.WeAreLV.com.
“We’re amazed and so grateful of everyone who came
together and supported The Caring Place this past week,” said Connie Bernstein,
co-founder and chair of The Caring Place. “I cannot thank The Palms, ESPN Radio
1100, Lotus Broadcasting and UFC enough for all they have done and continue to
do for us.”
In addition to being honored as Sportsman of the Year,
UFC President Dana White co-hosted an hour of the radiothon as well as rallied
his fighters to do the same. The organization also donated several auction
