RENOWNED FASHION DESIGNER JASON WU TO SHOWCASE NEW, HIGH-END DOLLS AT
RECEPTION AT TREVI, AUGUST 2
LAS VEGAS (May 19,
2008) – Jason Wu, creative director, fashion designer and partner for Integrity
Toys, Inc., will unveil his new line of modern fashion dolls, the AvantGuards,
during a dessert reception at TREVI Italian Restaurant, August 2. One hundred guests, including doll
collectors, will gather on TREVI’s elegant Mezzanine Level, which overlooks The
Fountain of the Gods and the upscale shops, to get the first glimpse of the
line’s premier dolls dressed in haute couture.
“Integrity Toys chose TREVI for this event because of its dramatic
décor, the staircase leading to the Mezzanine Level and the huge chandelier
that graces the restaurant,” said Carol Roth, public relations coordinator for
Integrity Toys, Inc., which is based in Maryland and New York. “I’ve dined at TREVI and loved the Italian
specialties and professional service, and it was our choice for such an
important event. Jason Wu’s high-end
dolls and TREVI’s ambience complement each other.”
The three debut AvantGuards – LiveWire, Lush and Eclectic -- are touted
as “Fashion Metamorphs” and stand 16-inches-tall. The dolls, which don wigs for hairstyle
changes and have highly articulated bodies for posing, are geared for
individuals 14-years-old and up and are designed with the adult collector in
mind.
Wu, 25, began his career in fashion design when he was 14-years-old, and
is hailed as one of the leading New York-based, young fashion designers. Since his debut collection of women’s
fashions in 2006, he has dressed some of the most recognized women in the
world, ranging from socialites to celebrities.
His collections are available at a variety of premium retailers,
including Saks Fifth Avenue,
Neiman Marcus, Ultimo and Holt Renfrew.
A designer for his eponymous women’s clothing line, Wu also oversees
the design of Integrity Toys, Inc.’s high-end fashion doll lines.
Integrity Toys’ fashion dolls are currently available at FAO Schwarz at
The Forum Shops at Caesars and through the FAO website, as well as through
other Integrity Toys’ official dealers.
The AvantGuards will be available for purchase starting this fall.
The reception at TREVI will feature desserts created by Pastry Chef
Hank Sbraccia, who makes the restaurant’s gelato homemade daily. The AvantGelato will feature dark chocolate,
and a custom cake will be embellished with the AvantGuards logo. Assistant General Manager Anthony Casiello
will mix a specialty cocktail for the event, the AvantGuardtini.
“We’re excited about hosting Integrity Toys, Inc. at TREVI and look
forward to a wonderful event,” said Nick Catanella, general manager and managing
partner for TREVI Italian Restaurant.
“TREVI’s location at one of the busiest shopping malls in the country,
its top-notch design and style, and the staff’s custom service to every event
make it an excellent choice for special occasions.”
