Dine in Style and Ring in ’08 at John Ascuaga’s Nugget

Reno/Sparks, Nev. -- Whether celebrating a wonderful year that was, toasting the new year to come, or ideally a combination of both, the chefs at John Ascuaga’s Nugget have prepared the perfect dining options for your New Year’s Eve party plans.
These special menus are available only on Monday, December 31. For those who prefer to ring in 2008 with their favorite Nugget dish, each restaurant’s regular menu is available, except for the Rotisserie.
The all-you-can-eat feast offered at the Rotisserie Buffet features endless culinary combinations, including Oysters on the Half Shell, Chilled King Crab, Grilled Lamb Chops Madagascar, Braised Veal Osso Buco and Chinese-Roast Duck with Plum Sauce. The Nugget’s famous Salt-Roasted Prime Rib will be served at the Carving Station. Dessert choices include Chocolate Rum Truffle Cake, Pumpkin Swirled Cheesecake, Assorted Mousses, Cookies, Fruit Tartlets, No Sugar Added Cakes & Pies and Soft Ice Cream with Toppings. The cost is $32.95 for adults and $18.95 for children ages 5-11. Dinner will be served from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The Rotisserie Buffet will also host a New Year’s Day Champagne Brunch from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on January 1. The cost is $18.95 for adults and $10.95 for children ages 5-11. A dinner buffet will be served from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The cost is $19.95 for adults and $10.95 for children 5-11.
The Steakhouse Grill will offer a Pan Roasted Fresh Sea Bass topped with Maine Lobster, Wild Mushroom Ragout and Saffron Basmati Rice for $42.50. The other special will be Medallions of Venison and Colorado Lamb Chops Pan Seared with Three Mushrooms, Lingonberry Sauce and Garlic mashed Yukon Gold Potatoes for $43.95.
Restaurante Orozko will feature a Pan Seared Kobe Beef Flat Iron Steak with Caramelized Maui Onion, Chinese Duck Sausage Risotto and Cabernet Sauvignon Reduction for $39.95. The other offering will be Tarragon Crusted Fresh Sea Bass served on Peppered Prawns with a Chardonnay Cream Sauce for $36.95.
Trader Dick’s will serve an Ahi Tuna Mignon with pan-fried Foie Gras, Crispy Soba Noodles and a Plum Wine Demi-Glace for $39.50. The other special will be Thai Spicy Steak and Scampi with Basil, Garlic, Chili Pepper and Fish Sauce for $32.50.
Rosie’s Café will serve a Steak & Shrimp special from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. for $12.95. Eggs Benedict or Basque Frittatas will be featured for $8.45 from 2 a.m. to 11 a.m. on January 1.
