Tasty Menu Selections the Ideal Complement to Beer

LAS VEGAS—With varied menu selections ranging from Irish nachos to crab cakes, and BBQ ribs to shepherd’s pie, there is one common trait among all the delicious items at McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino: everything goes great with beer.

McFadden’s Executive Chef Brian Rathbun developed the menu based on his love of Irish and American comfort fare. “We took the food that people love to eat and perfected each recipe,” says Rathbun. “So whether you’re craving fish and chips, a New York Strip steak, or anything in between, you’re going to love your selection and leave McFadden’s feeling full, satisfied, and ready for a big night out in Las Vegas.”

For guests craving Irish fare, McFadden’s offers a few traditional favorites including the shepherd’s pie, made with slow cooked ground beef in gravy with peas and mashed potatoes, topped with cheese; Irish lamb stew, made with tender chunks of lamb, slowly cooked with vegetables in a red wine broth; and, of course, fish and chips, coated in beer batter and fried.

With appetizers priced from $8.95 to $11.95 and entrees priced from $14.95 to $23.95, a meal at McFadden’s won’t put a dent in your beer money.

McFadden’s 7,000-square-foot-plus tavern at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino is Sin City’s newest pub-hub for crowds seeking out an unpretentious party bar where both men and women roll up their sleeves and have a great time.

Already famous in cities such as New York, Boston, Chicago and Philadelphia, McFadden’s Vegas outpost boasts two rooms (including a 150-person private party room with its own island bar), nearly 20 high-definition plasma TVs, a dance floor and a breathtakingly long 100-foot mahogany bar perfect for dancing on. In addition to dozens of favorite draught beers, McFadden’s offers mind-erasing 90-ounce fishbowl cocktails. Thirsty guests who finish their fishbowls get their photographs taken for all to see for the “Fishbowl Hall of Fame.”

Open seven days a week from 11 a.m. until the Erin goes bragh, McFadden’s beauteous Lucky Charms and jovial Ministers of Hospitality ensure everyone has fun, whether they’re there to watch the game, get their drink on with the dueling pianos and DJ Soup Can, or celebrate happy occasions and bachelorette parties.

Built in 1977 by an Irishman named Steve McFadden near Times Square on 42nd and 2nd, McFadden’s has grown to 11 locations across the country, including Boston; Pittsburgh; Chicago; Columbus; Washington, D.C.; Nashville; Worcester; and Philadelphia. The success is no surprise, thanks to Steve’s mission of providing a place for family and friends to gather and celebrate good times while enjoying great food and drinks. He even used his own family’s Irish recipe Shepherd’s Pie on the menu. When you combine that kind of unaffected love with great draught beer and a party atmosphere, it’s no wonder that McFadden’s has hosted millions of good times, bachelorette parties and sports nights.

McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon is open 11 a.m. to 4 a.m., seven days a week, inside the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, 3700 W. Flamingo Road, Las Vegas, NV 89103. For more information, call 702.270-6200 or visit www.McFaddensSaloon.com
