SAN DIEGO – Want to savor the flavor of Mexico, but can't afford a
vacation south of the border? Then try out Jack in the Box® restaurants'
Acapulco Chicken Salad. With the taste of cilantro and lime, this Latin-inspired
salad is like a trip to the tropics, but without the pricey plane ticket.
Jack's Acapulco Chicken Salad, which debuted for a limited time in 2006,
features a mix of fresh lettuces topped with shredded pepper jack cheese, grape
tomatoes, cucumber slices, red onion and lime wedges served with blue corn
tortilla strips and cilantro lime dressing on the side. Guests can customize
their salad with a choice of chicken – grilled chicken strips, crispy chicken
strips or Spicy Chicken Bites.
"The refreshing combination of lime and cilantro made the Acapulco Chicken
Salad very popular with our guests," said Teka O'Rourke, director of menu
marketing and promotions for Jack in the Box Inc. "We've received a lot of
requests to bring it back and we're excited to offer it again during the warm
spring and summer months."
The Acapulco Chicken Salad is available for the suggested price, excluding
tax, of $4.99 at all participating Jack in the Box restaurants.
