Vegas –Las
Vegas Roadrunners, a comprehensive training program that prepares
runners of all levels for The Las Vegas Marathon, now offers three weekly
group-training locations.

looking to begin training for The 2008 Las Vegas Marathon are encouraged to

to join Las Vegas Roadrunners.
Groups now meet every Saturday at Fleet Feet Sports in Summerlin
(7591 W. Washington Ave.) and The Las Vegas Marathon Offices (3153 E. Warm
Springs Rd., Ste. 200). A third group
also meets every
Sunday in central Las Vegas at The
Athlete’s Foot (4712
W. Sahara Ave.). All groups meet at 5:30 a.m.
Great
for beginners with limited to no running experience, the program is designed to
take anyone from the couch to the finish line.
The systematic training program includes several real race experiences,
valuable knowledge and insight from special guest speakers and weekday training
schedules designed to prepare runners for success on race day. all members of Las Vegas
Roadrunners receive various specials and discounts at The Academy of Healing Arts, the official massage
partner of The Las Vegas Marathon.

The
Las Vegas Marathon will take place on Sunday Dec.7, 2008 at 6 a.m. at Mandalay
Bay Resort & Casino. Fireworks start
the race as runners run down the legendary Las Vegas Strip. Contrary to previous
years, The 2008 Las Vegas Marathon is limiting the number of participants. Once 20,000 runners are signed up for the
full and half marathon combined, registration will be closed.
