Honda Power Equipment today announced a new sponsorship
agreement with Dale Earnhardt Inc. (NASCAR) Race Teams within the Sprint Cup
Series. Honda's ultra-quiet EU3000is and powerful EB11000 have been named the
teams' "Official Generators," supplying technologically-advanced, reliable Honda
power both on and off the track.
As an official sponsor, the Honda Generator logo will appear
on the power carts of four Earnhardt Inc. drivers: Martin Truex's #1 Bass Pro
Chevrolet; Regan Smith's #01 Principal Financial Chevrolet; Mark Martin's #8
U.S. Army Chevrolet; and Paul Menard's #15 Menard's Chevrolet.
"Honda generators provide reliable, fuel-efficient power to
NASCAR teams and fans alike - in the infield or on the track," said Steve
Bailey, vice president, Honda Power Equipment. "The Earnhardt name is legendary
in motorsports, and we're proud to be part of this incredible team."
Honda's EU3000is generators deliver 3,000 watts of clean,
dependable power for race teams and tailgaters. Exclusive inverter technology
eliminates the need for the bulky alternators found on many competitive
products, resulting in a package significantly smaller and lighter than
conventional units with comparable output. The same inverter technology delivers
clean electrical output with a sine wave equal to AC current from a standard
household wall outlet - critical for sensitive electronics where power
fluctuations can cause devices to freeze or be interrupted. The EU3000is also
features Honda's patented Eco-Throttle® technology, which significantly improves
fuel efficiency and long-term durability by adjusting power output and engine
speed according to load requirements.
Honda's incredibly powerful EB11000 provides up to 10,500
watts of portable power for residential and commercial applications. Powered by
Honda's GX620 engine, the generator's 615cc, twin-cylinder design and advanced
technology afford users incredible fuel efficiency - up to 7.5 hours on a single
6.9-gallon tank at 50 percent of rated load - and legendary Honda
durability.
Honda Power Equipment markets a complete line of portable
generators from 1,000 to 10,500 watts for a variety of commercial, residential,
and recreational applications.
Formed by Dale and Teresa Earnhardt in February of 1980,
Dale Earnhardt, Inc. has garnered three Daytona 500 trophies, a pair of Busch
Series championships and two Craftsman Truck Series championships.
