INCREASED TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT THROUGHOUT THE NBA ALL STAR EVENT

Members of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and the Nevada Highway Patrol have joined forces throughout the NBA All Star week to increase the safety of our roadways. Extra traffic enforcement officers are on duty throughout the city, with special attention being paid to areas near the numerous NBA events.
These officers have adopted a strict no tolerance policy when dealing with drivers who are intoxicated, driving in an aggressive or reckless manner, or otherwise endangering the public. In addition to traffic enforcement, officers also ensure the smooth and efficient flow of both vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
A portion of the funding for this enforcement effort is being provided by a grant from the Nevada Department of Public Safety / Office of traffic Safety. PO 023 02/14/2007
