Starting tonight at approximately 9 p.m., traffic lane restrictions will be in effect at the intersections of East Sahara Avenue at Nellis Boulevard, and Vegas Valley Drive at Nellis Boulevard for work on a city of Las Vegas sewer system improvement project.
Work will be done at these two intersections February 23 through 26, and March 2 through March 5, between the approximate hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., Friday through Monday. This construction activity is being scheduled as weekend work to minimize traffic disruptions.
As travel delays and disruptions can be expected, Charleston Boulevard and Desert Inn Road are suggested as alternate routes for east-west travel. Lamb Boulevard is suggested for north-south travel when work is underway on Nellis.
This $4.3 million sewer system improvement project is scheduled for completion by late July 2007. Funding is provided by city of Las Vegas street and sewer rehabilitation funds. The contractor for the project is Instituform Technologies, with project management by the city of Las Vegas Department of Public Works
