Orbitz Worldwide, a leading global online travel company, today announced a distribution partnership with the Las Vegas Monorail Company. Orbitz Worldwide will be the first online travel agency to offer its customers the convenience of booking Las Vegas Monorail service on its Orbitz (www.orbitz.com) and CheapTickets (www.cheaptickets.com) websites.

Fares will be sold through the Activities path on Orbitz and CheapTickets sites, available as stand alone purchases or as add-ons for customers booking customized vacation packages to Las Vegas. Prices range from $5 to $40; ticket types offered are a single-ride, two-ride, ten-ride, unlimited one-day pass and unlimited three-day pass.

The Orbitz and CheapTickets brands provide the Las Vegas Monorail Company a significant distribution channel that gives Las Vegas visitors a one stop shop to plan their Las Vegas vacation, including transportation on the Las Vegas Monorail, said Ingrid Reisman, vice president of corporate communication for the Las Vegas Monorail Company. We re excited about our partnership and look forward to many joint promotions and programs with Orbitz Worldwide.

The Las Vegas Monorail is the quickest and easiest way to travel the Las Vegas Strip. The service is a seven-stop elevated train system that covers four miles of Las Vegas casinos and attractions, including a direct connection to eight premier resort destinations and the Las Vegas Convention Center. Trips that span the length of the Strip take 15 minutes or less, with trains arriving every few minutes. The Las Vegas Monorail s future expansion plans include direct access to McCarran International Airport, as well as direct connections to additional resort properties. The Las Vegas Monorail is the only privately funded public transportation system in the country.

We re pleased to be the first online travel agency to sell Las Vegas Monorail service to customers who want a fast and affordable way to see the Strip, said Seth Brody, Vice President and General Manager of Hospitality Services for Orbitz Worldwide, Inc. Orbitz Worldwide will continue to offer more attractions and services for customers who continue to seek great deals for their travel to the Las Vegas area.

Activities tabs on the Orbitz (http://activities.orbitz.com) and CheapTickets (http://activities.cheaptickets.com) sites also allow travelers to purchase museum passes, spa treatments and services, organized tours, tickets to shows, sporting events and concerts, and airport to hotel transportation among other amenities.
