Incline Village, NV- It’s going to be a busy month full of
great events at Diamond Peak! Check out what’s going on:
March 1-2: Girls Snowboard Clinics- Diamond Peak is pleased
to introduce Girls Learn to Snowboard clinics on March 1-2, 2008. There will be
two types of clinics given that day; Girls Learn How to Snowboard lessons and an
Introduction to the Terrain Park. These clinics are open to girls’ ages 7 yrs
old- 16 yrs old and include all-day lessons and lunch on Saturday, March 1st
from 10 am- 4 pm. On Sunday, clinics will be held from 10 am- 2 pm (includes
lunch), with a Graduation event held afterwards so that the girls participating
can show off their skills, followed by an awards ceremony.
March 1: 3rd Annual Vertical Challenge- If you
ski/telemark/snowboard the most vertical feet in a seven-hour period, then
you’ll win a free 08/09 Diamond Peak full season pass! The event will have two
separate divisions for men and women and the contestant(s) who skis/rides over
45,000 vertical feet will receive $50 off a 08/09 full season pass. The entry
fee is only $10 and includes a commemorative T-shirt. Registration will be held
in the base lodge from 8:00-9:00 am and the event will be held from 9:00 am-
4:00 pm. An awards ceremony will be held on the base lodge deck following the
competition. Come test your endurance by entering a one-of-a-kind event at the
mountain that has the 4th largest vertical drop in Lake Tahoe!
March 8: Diamond Peak Poker Run- Diamond Peak is hosting a
first-ever poker run on March 8th. The event starts at 10:00 am-1:00 pm.
Registration is at the base lodge at 9:00 am and the entry fee is $10, which
includes a T-shirt. There are five clearly-marked dealers at different locations
on the mountain with a deck of cards. Each participant is given a card with
clues on where to find them. Ski or snowboard around until you find the dealers.
You have two hours to find the dealers and from them you’ll pull a card. The
person with the best hand wins! This event is one based on luck- and you’ll also
get some riding in! We’ll have a themed BBQ and prizes on the deck afterwards.

Spa, prizes from Diamond Peak, and more.
March 16: St. Patty’s Day Toyota Sick & Twisted Event-
Toyota’s Sick & Twisted Freestyle Tour, presented by Under Armour
Performance, is making a stop at Diamond Peak! Join us for the Peak Slopestyle
with over $1,000 in prizes and gear. The Toyota Sick & Twisted Freestyle
Tour is open to men and women of all skills and ages. Registration will be at
8:30 am in the base lodge deck and practice takes place at 10:00 am. The
competition starts 11:30 am. Watch skiers and snowboarders get sick and twisted
in the new Snowbomb.com terrain park located on the Spillway run at Diamond
Peak. An awards ceremony will follow the competition on the Diamond Peak base
lodge deck. The Toyota Sick & Twisted Tour is a favorite event among locals.

March 29: 2nd Annual Uphill Race- Go up to the lodge under
your own power – skis with skins or snowshoes and you need to have equipment to
ski or ride down from Snowflake Lodge – skis, snowboards and telemark skis are
all acceptable. The opposite of the famous Last Tracks, this First Tracks Uphill
Race will challenge people interested in going up the mountain on their own.
Enjoy breakfast and award ceremony at Snowflake Lodge and ski or ride for the
rest of the day. Race starts at 8am. Prizes will be provided for best time (male
and female) plus a raffle for everyone participating.
