The first three rules of selecting your
hotel
Just as with real estate - the first three rules
are Location - Location - Location! However, depending
upon your responsibilities at the convention -
the location can be drastically different! |
| |
Responsibility: Attending the show
If your "just" attending the show - depending upon your expense budget
of course - you really have every option open to you. Depending upon your own
personal desires - you should try to stay at the facilities at which the
convention is being held - for nothing more than utter convenience! Conversely,
if you need to get away from the "show" crowds, then as far away as
possible is definite recommended! However, you are in Las Vegas - and "somewhere
in between" the craziness of the show - and the solitude of an out of the valley
motel is definitely worth exploring! |
| |
Responsibility: Working the booth
If you are actually working the booth - you want to stay as close as possible
to what ever convention center your booth is located in. Your going to be up
early, out late and the last thing you want to do is to be waiting for transportation
back to grab some much needed sleep! What if you can't stay in the same facility?
Check out our "Getting
Around Town" section - to help you make your decision. If your show
is at the LVCC - your best bet is definitely a hotel ON the monorail line -
quick to get to and from, well with-in your travel budget - no lines, no waiting
etc... |
| |
Responsibility: Management, sales and
marketing personnel
Management, sales and marketing personnel who
are "working the show" should limit their options
to those hotels which offer the required access
to and from the show - as
well as any
options necessary for entertaining your clients!
As at the home office - while your here - time
is money - and if your spending too much time
getting from point A to point B and back again
- your losing and wasting money! |
